Wine in Hungary – part two

This is the entrance to Laposa Birtok.  The vineyard is located on the south side of the Badacsony Hill in Hungary.  Imagine harvesting grapes here…could you ever get tired of working with such an amazing view of Lake Balaton?  Doubtful.

We arrived to Laposa in the late afternoon on a sunny day in May & helped ourselves to a table with a view; which was not at all hard to find since every seat is equipped with picture perfect scenery.

I prefer red, always have.  So when my husband & I were referred to Laposa I didn’t jump with excitement.  That is until I arrived.  And well, lets face it…when you’re surrounded with such beauty, a glass of just about anything would be just fine.

SO…if you’re a red wine fan, come for the scenery.

If you’re a lover of whites you’re in luck!  Laposa only produces whites.  About 80,000 bottles a year.  Here’s the menu.

And here are more shots of Lake Balaton from our seat :).

After a few glasses we headed to the wine cellar.
